Vintage 1938 Wedding Dress | Ivory Satin & Lace | Rare Piece
Unique Collector's Item | Ivory Satin and Lace Applique | Complete Set
Treat yourself to a true treasure of history with this wedding dress made in Quebec in 1938. Its timeless elegance and refined finishes make it an exceptional piece.
This lustrous ivory satin gown is adorned with delicate floral lace appliqués. The fitted, long-sleeved bodice features a stand-up collar, flowing shoulder detailing, and a dramatic set of 30 satin-covered buttons down the front, accompanied by seven buttons at each cuff. The full skirt extends into a sumptuous lace-trimmed train, adding a touch of drama to the movement.
The set includes the original veil, made of tulle and floral lace, mounted on a matching headpiece. Despite a small tear in the tulle, the set retains all of its period charm.
The whole is completed by a rare fabric-covered wedding missal, adorned with ribbons, lace and dried flowers – a moving symbol of faith and love, carried as a bouquet by the bride.
