Rare Victorian 2-piece set - 1890's

Here is a precious relic from the late Victorian era: a two-piece ensemble (skirt and bodice) dating from the 1890s, made from a lightweight brocade-like fabric (possibly silk) with delicate floral patterns, embellished with black lace.
 The bodice, with a high neck and long puffed sleeves, closes with a series of hooks and features intricate lace appliqués on the shoulders and cuffs.
 The long skirt is slightly longer at the back, suggesting that it was worn with a hip pad – as the period model included with the presentation suggests.
 Estimated size: XXS (possibly fits a waist of approximately 22-23 inches).
 Condition: Fragile. While the set retains all of its historic charm, it has visible flaws, particularly at the waist and fastening points. Repairs appear to have been carried out after the 1970s, including the addition of a modern petticoat with a plastic zipper inside.

 A very old hat completes the ensemble.

 An ideal collector's item for display, historical reenactment, or private collection. Despite its imperfections, it remains a moving testament to a refined era.
