Unique piece – Quebec, 1950s

This splendid gown is a meticulous reproduction of the dress worn by Princess Elizabeth during her official visit to Canada in 1951. Created in Quebec by a fashion student as part of a graduation project, it was presented at a fashion show by his own sister.

Entirely handmade, this ivory satin gown features a regal silhouette worthy of royal courts, with its draped bodice, crossover collar, and full godet skirt. Exquisite beaded and embroidered appliqués adorn the bodice and hem, exquisitely evoking the intricate designs of the original gown. Every bead, every gold thread, is a testament to the craftsmanship of the time.

Acquired in the early 2000s from the designer's sister for $275, this dress has never been worn since. It's a true collector's item for admirers of the British monarchy or lovers of exceptional vintage fashion.

A heritage treasure for lovers of British royalty, artisanal haute couture or historical Quebec pieces.

NOTE: Garments are not cleaned before sale. If you plan to wear them, dry cleaning or delicate washing (depending on the fabric) is recommended.
